The Adur Ferry Bridge is an opening foot-bridge that crosses the tidal River Adur and tidal salt marsh at Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. It replaced a 1920’s narrow concrete footbridge. This is a close up of one of the broken glass panels on the Adur Ferry Bridge, Shoreham-by-Sea, There have been ongoing problems with the panels cracking like this.............investigations have shown that while a couple have probably been vandalised, the main causes seem to be inclusions in the glass material and failure at the fixings. Work to replace the glass and remedy the problems is ongoing.............. Meanwhile.............they make a good subject for us photographers :-)
