Diese Wanze erreicht eine Größe von 12-15 mm,sie ist im Herbst dunkelbran gefärbt und im Sommer heller!Die Seitenränder des Halsschildes (Pronotum) sind stark nach oben geschwungen und laufen in fast rechteckig gewinkelte und jeweils mit einem spitzen Zahn versehene Lappen aus. Das Schildchen (Scutellum) ist an der Spitze leuchtend orange gefärbt :)) Pip1-2: Nahaufnahmen dieser Wanze This bug reaches a size of 12-15 mm, it is dark brown in autumn and lighter in summer! The side edges of the pronotum are strongly curved upwards and run into almost rectangularly angled lobes, each with a sharp tooth. Anders als andere Wanzenarten überwindert diese Wanze im Larvenstadien gut versteckt unter Baumrinden,mit den warmen Tagen entwickeln sich die Larven zu Wanzen und man kann sie dann im Juni beobachten!
