This gentle mourning dove decided to build a nest on a ledge on our porch and we have watched the parents change shifts sitting on the eggs and later, tending the young. The two young chicks (one is behind the mother) are almost ready to leave the nest. Their parents are hinting that it is time for the chicks to fly away by leaving the nest for extended periods. I had the wrong lens and the camera was at the wrong ISO when I saw this bird. I was able to take three shots before it flew off and this was the best of them. AIMG 0759
