When the power went out 15 minutes into the rehearsal of the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, the musicians did not give up but used stand lights, phone lights and iPads to continue playing. When inclement weather results in an indoor rehearsal, members - all of whom have been vaccinated - sit socially distant and the rehearsal room has advanced air filtering. Aimage7

The Metropolitan Wind Symphony in concert in March 2016. It takes a great deal of concentration to make harmonious music. I usually play bass trombone with this group, but a broken wrist along with doctor's instructions not to lift more than 5 pounds caused me to miss this concert.
