At 13 miles long, Bear Glacier is the longest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. On Bear Glacier, two ice flows meet, forming a medial moraine where the rocky debris carried along the sides of the two ice flows join. AIMG 5252

I had one day only scheduled in Seward, Alaska and I really wanted to go on the Kenai Fjords National Parks cruise. The weather forcast was for 0% rain and partly sunny, but actuality was quite different. It was raining and visibility was minimal. I boarded the boat and hoped for the best. The cruse started in a magical mist and as the day progressed, so did the visibility. I was fortunate to see the fjords in the mist and later, in the clear. AIMG 5227
