In the shower

Sunday Challenge: Take a photo of something that you have in your bathroom. It can be a fixture, a faucet, a soap bubble, an objet d'art, tile or even yourself coming out of the shower, provided that it is family friendly. You can make make it a more interesting photo by shooting it at an angle or shooting only a portion of the object to emphasize its shape. Get creative and show what you can do with a mundane topic.
Our shower surround is made out of frosted, textured glass. This provided an opportunity for an unusual portrait without the need for computer manipulation. My husband was kind enough to consent to be the model.

The North Theater in Gerash, Joradan was "[b]uilt in about AD 165 and enlarged in 235, it was most likely used for government meetings rather than artistic performances. Originally it had 14 rows of seats with two vaulted passageways leading to the front of theatre, as well as five internal arched corridors leading to the upper rows. Many of the seats are inscribed with the names of delegates who voted in the city council.
Like many of the grand monuments at Jerash, the North Theatre was destroyed by earthquakes and then partially dismantled for later Byzantine and Umayyad building projects. However, in recent years it has been magnificently restored and still maintains a capacity of about 2000 people. The theatre may not have been used for performances but there’s still plenty of rhythm in the design details, with round niches and inverted scallop shells, and exuberant carvings of musicians and dancers at the base of the stairs."

Jordan inherited its interest in bagpipes from the British Army. Pipers at the North Theater play for tips.

Prostitution in Quito, Ecuador is legal. This woman told me that since it became legal, women have been able to unionize and look out for each other. They do not need johns or pimps for protection. They are not hassled by corrupt police looking for favors to prevent arrest. They are required to have health screenings on a regular basis. They feel much safer and do not feel like marginalized citizens.

The bright pink of her sari caught my eye. Her solemn look and her metallic wristwatch seemed quite out of place with her festive dress. Shot in Chomu, India

This man kept an eye on the western tourists as we walked around the market in Chomu, India so I figured that turnabout was fair play.
