Work on the Church of the Society of Jesus (Spanish: La Iglesia de la Compañia de Jesus) in Quito, Ecuador started in 1605 and the church was completed in 1765. Unfortunate, no photographs were allowed of its intensely ornate carved interior that is covered in gold. AIMG 0535
