I wish I could remember all the manipulations I did to this picture, which was originally a color digital picture taken on a snowy day. It was done as an editorial illustration and I've always liked it.

One of the hardest things to do is to capture the subtle details in drifted snow, especially with a fairly small negative. This is as close as I ever came. Mamiya 645, normal lens, Tri-X, Microdol-X 1:3

This stupid light shines right into my living room and I hate it. But at least I got some use out of it while testing the low-light performance of the Fujifilm F70EXR camera. This was taken hand-held with no additional light during a snowstorm. I kind of like it.
