Gestern fand ich in einem ziemlich dunklen fränkischen Laubmischwald ein größeres Vorkommen dieser eleganten Orchideenart. Es handelt sich um das Weiße Waldvögelein (Cephalanthera damasonium). Die Blühreife bei dieser Orchideenart findet erst im 10. Jahr nach der Samenkeimung statt (!). Es erfolgt Selbstbestäubung. It is the white helleborine (Cephalanthera damasonium). The flowering ripeness of this orchid species does not take place until the 10th year (!) after seed germination. It occurs self-pollination.
