A red-winged blackbird perched on a cattail in the Valeport Marsh. A moment after I took this image it flew off.

An early morning serenade by a red-winged blackbird perched on a cattail i the Valeport Marsh, near Craven, Saskatchewan. Besides the usual crop I tried converting this image to a square crop.

On an unusually calm morning, this red-winged blackbird was able to perch on a cattail at the edge of Wascana Lake, without it swinging around too much.
