result = 11 jars of home-made plum jam. {with auto-flash so the colour isn't so natural}

Now to add the sugar, having removed the stones after cooking. For 7lb of fruit, with a little added water, I've used almost 2 1/2 Kg of sugar. Working on taste, that should be enough.

[e2a - yup, I can't count, there are 11 jars, but two are half size, and a little tiny bit extra went into two "taster" jars] {without flash, much better / natural colour} Why I [eventually] chose this for WPD in 2025:- I enjoyed the jam-making process, and this time it brought back a very happy childhood memory - whenever either of my parents were busy and didn't want me interrupting them at whatever they were doing, their response to my question was "making jam" ... I got my own back --- much more recently, my father and I were arranging a trip to Poland for an Esperanto event, and phoning each other quite often. One night he rang me, but I really was in the middle of making jam ! He, and I found that very funny when I called him back ...

A little corner of the front garden, using containers [pots] and flowering plants for colour in an attempt at a 3D flower bed. This was one of two for my second choice for WPD in 2025 ... I like gardening and this has brightened up the corner,

Cooking some donated plums. I started with around 7lbs of what may be Victoria Plums, ranging in their degree of ripeness. [e2a - I wondered how well it would set ... the answer : very well indeed, and tasty !]
