Letter concerning J A Hargreaves. . not my image ; fair use & public information . I really do wonder what was behind JAH "suddenly" retiring in [i think] September 1981. All I know is that I personally detested him, as he played favourites and was creepy to say the least. [despite being a Geographer I never had the "pleasure" of lessons with him - even during the flu epidemic in 1974 [? on date, but the flu did cause minor chaos as a lot of staff and pupils were ill]

John A Hargreaves was head teacher at Hardenhuish School when I was there - I left in 1975 to study for a BSC in Geography and then I did a post-graduate Librarianship diploma in Aberystwyth. , not my image : fair use & public information

By early evening [18:26] on the 25th November 2024, the floodwater in Chippenham High Street were beginning to retreat. The building on the right used to be the Co-op.
