This building on Granby Street in Leicester dates from 1873. The upper storeys incorporate decoration in brick and stone with the buiding name in tiles. Sadly the street level has been greatly changed by a fast food takeaway business.

Campion Chambers, 23-25 St Nicholas Place, Leicester features cream terracotta and a nice art deco font. I guess it dates from the 1920s. The replacement windows don't help and I have cut off the garish subway frontage on the ground floor level.

Midland Railway Company's station at Leicester was rebuilt to the design of Charles Trubshaw in 1895. This is the departure section of the frontage with terracotta ornamentation and the initials of the company in the wrought iron over the side gates.

The clock tower and dome make it easy to spot the railway station at Leicester. This is part of the station rebuilding works to the design of Charles Trubshaw that were completed in 1895. It is sadly suffering due to overzealous cleaning some years ago that has seriously damaged the surface of the terracotta.

Ceramic tiles panels on 58 High Street, Leicester. This is a shop premises dating to 1903. The architect was A. E. Sawday for T. E. Butler, Son and Co., chemists. The Sea Breeze advert is a bonus. The building is listed Grade II.
