We stayed a night in Tumcumcari near this restaurant. We were in our motorhome, staying in what appeared to be a motel. (It turned out to be both a truly classic motel of the 1950's era, as well as a modern RV park!) The New Mexican food at this place was great. Typical of the state, the restaurant also had a "gift shop" full of indian crafts and artwork. (Notice that they ran out of letters for "SALAD BAR", and had to use inverted "U"s.) In 2016, we had the pleasure of visiting Avery Island, Louisiana, home of the Tabasco sauce factory. Their gift shop has amazing things, and we had to control ourselves and only buy a few items. These "paint cans" contain chocolate infused with the tabasco sauce. The design on the can (diamond with green lettering) is the LOGO of the McIlhenny Co. Image processed with GIMP.
