Here's another shot of the stage.

Tivoli Gardens Stage, Copenhagen, Denmark, 2007

Tivoli Gardens, like many amusement parks, features exaggerated versions of architectural styles from around the world. This is one of the stages for entertainers, based on a Chinese (I think) pagoda.

Tivoli Gardens Main Gate, Copenhagen, Denmark, 200…

Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen is the second oldest amusement park in the world as Dyrehavsbakken, also in Denmark ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyrehavsbakken ), is the oldest. These two parks are in fact much older than most of the runners up, having been built in 1583 and 1843, respectively.

Hlavni Nadrazi Tatra K2 From Gardens, Brno, Moravi…

The gardens, or park, also give you a sweeping view over towards Hlavni Nadrazi, and you can even pick out individual trams doing their runs in the city centre. I couldn't resist zooming in on a K2 and taking a shot, although I wasn't able to get the number.

Trail To Uhrineves, Milichovsky Les, Haje, Prague,…

Here's another shot I took in Milichovsky Les, on the same trail that I took the other Milichov photos posted so far. I jog on this trail now, since discovering it, although I've never gone all the way to Uhrineves, as it's prettier to go to Kreslice, which is also not as far.

Firebugs On Tree, Milichovsky Les, Haje, Prague, C…

These are Pyrrhocoris Apterus....or just uh....Firebugs, one of the most common species of insect in Central Bohemia. These ones are uhhhh....doin stuff. :-) :-) :-) Bugs don't count, though (do they?), so if Flickr makes a stink about this it would be very amusing. :-) If they throw me off for this one I'm not sure if I'll care. I took this in Milichovsky Les in Haje, Prague.

Firebug, Milichovsky Les, Haje, Prague, CZ, 2007

Here's a detailed, if a bit overexposed, shot of a Pyrrhocoris Apterus (Firebug), taken on a stone bridge (I think) in Milichovsky Les in Haje, Prague. If I had had a proper Macro lens, as opposed to a macro zoom, I probably could have got a better shot, but I'm not going to worry about it.

Sidliste Haje From Milichovsky Rybnik, Haje, Pragu…

This is a rybnik, or pond, that borders Milichovsky Les and Sidliste Haje, and gives you a contrast between these two parts of Prague.

Cabin In Milichovsky Les, Haje, Prague, CZ, 2007

10 Nov 2007 666
Milichovsky Les is so much more rural than Sidliste Haje that I even found this cabin there. I have no idea who owns it, but it looks perfectly suitable as a cabin if you can ignore the sound of cars coming in and out of Haje a few hundred meters away.

Milichovsky Les Park Signs, Haje, Prague, CZ, 2007

10 Nov 2007 593
Just south of Sidliste Haje, at the southern border of the city, is this park, Milichovsky Les, which provides a striking contrast to Sidliste Haje. The trees mostly hide the Panelaks of the Sidliste, so that you would never know where you are if you didn't know the area. Notice that Kreslice, the nearest town to this part of Prague (although some maps consider it part of Praha 11, the street signs indicate that it's seperate, so I don't know who's really right), is only 2 Km. away. I don't know anything about Pitkovice, but Uhrineves is indisputably part of Prague.

Praha Hlavni Nadrazi In A Snowy Haze, B&W version,…

01 Sep 2007 3 2 952
I originally shot this with Ektachrome E100GX, one of the nicest color films you can buy if you can't get Kodachrome 64 or 200. On this particular day, though, during the Prague snowstorm two weekends ago, Hlavni Nadrazi, the main train station, was so obscured in the snow that the scene was, for practical purposes, a black and white scene. Seeing the scans of my two brackets, I decided to go with the lighter and hazier one for dramatic effect, and oddly, convert it to black and white. Why not? I think it looks better this way. Maybe some of you can tell me what you think, and I can consider uploading other versions of this.
