Walking by the side of this lonely 'Loch an Nostarie' area can be a trial in some places. We did wonder about wading through this gateway but we could see the track further on was even worse and so this was to be our turn around point. PiP Best full screen Enjoy the weekend.

A panoramic view of this lonely loch. The weather looked like rain but it remained dry. Loch an Nostarie is an irregular shaped shallow freshwater loch that lies about a mile north of the west-end of Loch Morar and about a mile south-east of Mallaig in the Lochaber district of Scotland. Within walking distance from our holiday cottage in Mallaig, NW Scotland, we start to walk the banks of this lonely loch. Here we come across an old picnic table but I think it is little used up here where the weather can turn nasty in a moment. As can be seen, even for us, we could not be sure of the weather here.
