Group: World Photography Day - August 19
GROUP RULES - 2024
|
|
Photographs should be taken on Monday, August 19th.
One photo per photographer. (As in 2023, for 2024 you may add one additional photo taken on August 19th by including it in the description of your first photo - this is just an option.)
Submissions accepted to the group from August 19th to about 2 weeks after the offical World Photography Day (through the end of August).
Submit your one best, important, and/or special photograph from the day.
Any photographs that are a celebration of the art, craft, science and/or history of photography will be considered for inclusion in the group.
We encourage detailed descriptions about your photo and/or why you chose your photo. This is to help engage everyone in the event by encouraging discussions. So, if possible please consider including a description of your experience taking your photograph. This could be why you chose your subject, how you couldn't get out of the house so you had to photograph something you don't normally choose, how you made a special trip to get your special photograph, or even the technical methods you used, etc.
----------------------------
A few extra points:
**People can only suggest their own photos, as it is a personal decision what photos people consider to be their best, their important, their special photographs.
**Technical perfection is not required to participate.
** It is understood that some people will have conflicts outside their control and so we will accept photographs taken on August 18th, or 20th on a case by case basis. We are a friendly club, not harsh rule enforcers. Please understand if you see a submission accepted to the group that was taken on a different day.
** It is suggested that one adds the keyword "World Photography Day" to one's photo.
