☑ Sort albums in "add to existing" drop-down list
![]() |
We now have a large number of albums on ipernity. We started adding them in reverse chronological order, but the order has been broken by photos which turned up later. When trying to add photos to existing albums, the drop-down list has become quite long, but no longer has any discernible order. It would be a lot easier to find the appropriate album if this list were automatically sorted. We begin each album name with the date in ISO format, so a classic alphanumeric sort would make it easy to find the correct album.

Sami Serola (inactiv… clubLooks like the only way to is to reorganize the order of albums via 'Albums > Tools-menu > Change the order of the albums'. And the only option is to manually "drag and drop" albums. SO, no similar rearrange features according to date and name as there is for files inside albums on 'Organize' tool.
Thanks for responding. I am aware of the drag and drop feature for reordering the display of albums on our main page, and have used it extensively and repeatedly. However, it doesn‘t seem to have any effect on the order in which albums appear in the drop-down list for selecting an existing album to add photos to,

The order within folder albums can be different than for all albums.
Thanks for the tip, and sorry for the delayed response. When you have as many albums as we do, this is a major pain. It would be nice to be able to sort albums alphanumerically. Since we prefix each album name with the date in ISO format, this would take care of our problem.
