☑ Posting images and Chrome

Just recently my images posted on other fora from here (using the BB code supplied in the "see all sizes" screen) have stopped showing. All that shows is a link, or a broken image symbol and a link. This is only the case when viewing the other forum using Chrome under Windows 10 on my laptop. If I use Firefox on my laptop, or Chrome on my Android devices, the images show fine. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
I have (before someone says!), Googled the problem and tried various solutions suggested (e.g., clearing the cache) but none haver worked. This only started being an issue about two weeks ago.
Many thanks, Kris.

Sami Serola (inactiv… club has repliedI found out it is Chrome for Windows 10 'Privacy and Security' setting that blocks insecure contents.
In this case ipernity image URLs are considered as insecure by Chrome for Windows 10, because they indeed are still behind insecure HTTP.
To fix this, you need to open settings on your Chrome for Windows 10:
1) Go to 'Privacy and security > Site Settings > View permissions and data stored across sites'
2) For pentaxforums.com, open the drop down from up/down arrow head
3) Click right arrow on the end of line
4) Scroll down to find 'Insecure content' and set it for 'Allow'
Then do the same for pentaxuser.com.
There is of course a risk to allow also all other insecure contents shared by someone on that forum. But that is unfortunately what one has to do. Browsers are getting more and more bitchy when it comes to insecure HTTP web sites.
Hopefully we manage to get this solved soon in the future. And unfortunately that is what all your contacts at pentaxforums and using Chrome for WIndows 10 will also get. So, maybe you should inform them as well.
On Chrome for Ubuntu Linux this security setting has not been applied yet. So, there was no such problem.

But it is with all the users! So, others on that web forum using latest Chrome for Windows has to be instructed to do the same. It is again caused by a browser blocking insecure images at ipernity.com (using http instead of https).
To fix this properly, we again need to hope we get ipernity upgraded soon!
