Geotagging - the object which is visible or where you are standing?

Hi,

how should we do the geotagging of a photo or how did you do it?

Did you tag the location where you are standing to take the photo? Or did you geotag the location of the object which you photograph (which might be far away)?
And if you are tagging the location where you are taking the shoot (as I prefer to do) - how do you describe where the object is which you are taken?

Just as an example: www.ipernity.com/doc/kiezkicker/204939
I have taken the location where I took this photo. But this is far away from these two churches... So it might be difficult to find them on the map if you looking around (click four times on the "-" and then looking topright of the small version on the map you will find the icon of "St. Michaelis church" - south of the "Neustadt" - printing).

So if you would like to use geotagging to find similar photos from St. Michaelis - Church it would be hard to find them at the location which I had geotagged (where I shoot it), and it would be more helpful to geotag the location where the St. Michaelis Church really is?!

On the other hand it wouldn´t really possible to give the location of www.ipernity.com/doc/kiezkicker/41291042 because - well - you can view several quarters of Hamburg from this high hill where I am standing to take the photo...
