About this group
The group with, from, and about the legendary Flying P-Liners of the Hamburg shipping company F. Laeisz (FL for short). The ships, whose names all began with “P,” were famous for their speed and safety. They were painted in the shipping company's colors of black (hull above the waterline), white (waterline), and red (underwater hull).
The ships were popularly known as the Hamburg four-masters, which is also the standard German title variant of the old sailor's song Hamborger Veermaster.
