Hi there,
sometimes it can be pretty tricky to take a good photo of a beverage can, because of the reflections of the steel / alu, exp. when the printing was mostly silver. I suggest to take a good photo of metallic is something of the hardest you can take a photo of...
First at all: Try to use the following guide. But even if you don´t try this trick - please don´t use a flash...
--------------------------------
A quite simple, but pretty great working solution was to put the cans for about 15 minutes into your freezer. ;-)
Because the metal is cold a thin film of ice will appear quite after you remove it from the freezer which will prevent mostly of the gloss and let the printing look like matted. Be careful not to touch the part of the can you would take a photo of because your fingers will appearing a milisecound after you hit the metal..
And - being quick with your photo is the second thing you should remember. Take your photo before the thin ice are melted and drops will appear at the can.
And please - don´t use a flash to avoid these white dots at the can.
