A group has been formed for the attention of saving Ipernity. I hope every interest member joins this group and presents clear, concise ideas that can be acted upon in the very near future.

The group is: www.ipernity.com/group/2260604

Most importantly while people take precautions such as saving photos, I urge everyone to keep their accounts (even if less active) otherwise it would be a shame if we did manage to find a way to save Ipernity with nothing left to save.

I agree, people should not abandon ship - although doing back-up is a good idea. (I lost almost all info when fotopic folded, although months later I was able to get low resolution image files) - BUT the option to renew to show support had "disappeared" !

I understand. We need assurances that Ipernity will continue well into the future. To me the only practical way is for members to hold shares of stock which could achieve the "buyout" Christophe is looking for.

Christophe and the other founders have 2/3 of the share / stock - so would need to be willing to sell their stake to the "members" for that buyout to occur.

If they don't want to continue their involvement in IP, selling their shares is the right thing to do.

I'm with you William. I have joined that group.
I will be keeping all my groups open right to the end, always hoping for a miracle ;-)

Thank you June. It's too bad others continue to leave threatening the slim hope IP has. A more prudent move would be to backup photos, copy and paste articles and look into alternative platforms while keeping their IP accounts active. The logic of deleting photos in the event IP shuts down makes no sense since everyone's photos will continue to exist on IP's backup media. There's no way the servers aren't backed up in the event of a server crash.

Newest news from Christophe Ruelle - We continue to have hope (thanks in large part to the one and only William Sutherland and the rest of the IMA founders!).
