Another good pictorial survey from your travels! The 'fire and ice' and the grim relentlessness of some of the scenery certainly helps in appreciating the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda (which I have been reading recently).

What a coincidence, I am on them too... we understand better when we have been there. Nevertheless in my pictures I just show the poetical side of Iceland, but when you are there you are surrounded by people all the time and it is not magical at all. In that sense I prefered the Faroe, no tourists, we could stop almost anywhere... and dream.

So interesting album, Xata !
.... nearly the same time I was on journey in Northern Norway.
And there was the same kind of weather. So when I see dark clouds on some of your shots, I exactly remember the wind, cold and wetness there. In such a gorgeous landscape it makes you feel the power of nature and unimportantness of humans.

Unimportance of humans but not all of them realize that, when you see crowds of arrogant invaders... the good with photos is that you can catch and transmit the impression you want to, "erasing" what is annoying... like herds of tourists poured from buses, all stops chronometrated, clic-clac-kodak and selfie...

.... I have to come again and look, look, look .... so great impressions here !
