So unusual. I don't tknow this plant at all, but I love that you have shown it in all is forms. Thank you Isabel.

It seems they like it at your place as it's flowering so profusely! I have sometimes been lucky to see the flowers at our local zoo/botanical garden.

BREATHTAKING

A gorgeous little series Isabel............the flowers are gorgeous and it's such a shame the only flower once. Leaving your hands in the first and second PiPs was great for scale. They are really big flowers!

A most unusual flower. A very sad story about the bats.

Their flowering is somewhat like that of the moonflower I posted a picture of earlier. A vine that produces large, white flowers that last for one day, and then fade. It has been flowering frequently in the house.

Of course, daylilies produce a number of flowers, but each lasts one day only. Talking with a younger friend (now gone) he said he'd never plant them. "Flowers should last more than a day!"
