Actually my Dad used to do this as well as keep wine labels. I remember him soaking the label off any wine that had pleased him! I haven't copied many of his traits (my sister will probably disagree!), but I did do this for a while!

Just keep them in your room, LOL !

A beautifully composed and taken shot Isabel...........very well observed. We do live in a "throwaway" society, but as Rosa mentioned people mending stuff instead of throwing it out is starting to become more popular.

We definitely live in a throwaway society, Isabel, so it's nice to see something this being cared for. Looking at the PiP it will gradually fall to pieces unfortunately.

I bet Isable has a spare cork.

We will replace it, the cork not the table, too much rubish submerging the planet, this is a way to do our part to save it (don't believe planet can be saved, our species went too far on destruction)

Yes, I am totally with you.. The problem I think is that manufactured things are now relatively cheap, whereas getting someone to repair them can be prohibitively expensive.

One can try to do it oneself.... or buy quality that lasts, cheap stuff produces rubish and the planet is submerged with it...
