Looks like a great trip! Years ago I was with a school group that was going to go down Pahrunaweap Canyon, in the southern part of the park where the East Fork of the Virgin River has cut a canyon comparable to Zion. Alas, the trip was canceled due to high water--and now Pahrunaweap Canyon is off-limits to hiking! :(
