In front is the entrance to the lower station of the Kiev funicular. On the right is the Riviera Hotel. In the background, at the top of the hill, is the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The line of the Kyiv Funicular consists of only two stations that connecting the historic Uppertown, and the lower commercial neighborhood of Podil through the steep Volodymyrska Hill overseeing the Dnieper River.
Poshtova Square (literally: Postal Square) in Kyiv, is one of the oldest historic squares of the city. Archaeological findings are dated back to the 4th century.
The square received its name from Podil post station that was opened there in 1846. Currently, the post station is used as a small art gallery
Postal house (in PiP), one-storey house in the style of classicism in Kiev on Poshtova Square, a monument of history and architecture. It was built in 1853-1865 as the main building of the Podolsk post station complex. Today it is the only building of the complex that has survived to this day.
