Phuket downtown winter 1987

Phuket and Phang Nga long time ago

September 1978 was my first visit on Phuket, 1987 I returned to this beautiful target with wife and children.
Many of my friends in Thailand and Germany ask me to scan and post my slide pictures I captured that time to get an imagine about the change in twenty five years.

Khao Lak beach in the Phang Nga province 1987

Khao Lak beach never was populated before the started with the big tourist business and building Hotels and Resorts. Khao Lak always was in risks of floodings. The Tsunami disaster December 2004 destroyed this beach in minutes but the business keeps on again. The safe and security of the people isn't as important as business and money.
