Lad's Leap above the clouds

A walk above the clouds in Longdendale.

In the North of the Peak District National Park the Longdendale Valley carries the trans-pennine road A628 over the Woodhead Pass.

The mountain to the south is Bleaklow
and to the north Black Hill.

This was a memorable walk late in the afternoon (January 2009) in fading light and it was just about dark when I got back to the car.
