Die Wikinger waren nicht wirklich in Bayern. Den Walchensee hätten sie auf Grund der geografischen Lage nie mit ihren Booten erreichen können. Der See liegt 800 m hoch. Selbst wenn sie den vorgelagerten Kochelsee (600 m) erreicht hätten, wäre da noch eine Bergbarriere von 955 m zu überwinden. Das Dorf wurde 2008 für die Verfilmung 'Wickie und die starken Männer' errichtet.

That village looks like an interesting place to visit...............I love the houses - rustic but beautifully built and very sturdy looking. I especially like the shield above the door and the dragon on the roof.

Dass Kelten mal in Bayern gesiedelt haben, sagte man uns im bayrischen Geschichtsunterricht. Aber von Wikingern war nie die Rede, kein Wort..!! ; )
