Donats-Gang
Die Lübecker Gänge findet man noch überall in der mittelalterlichen Innenstadt. Aus Platzgründen baute man im Mittelalter die Häuser dicht an dicht. Innerhalb eines Carrés, das von allen Seiten von Straßen oder Gassen umgeben war, war die Häuserfassade geschlossen. Der innere Bereich wurde auch bebaut. Der Zugang zu diesen Häusern erfolgte dann durch oft schmale und niedrige Gänge, so wie in diesem Bild auf der rechten Seite. Man sagt, dass die Gänge nur breit genug für einen Sarg sein mussten. Great colours and detail. I love the light and the dappled shadows on the brickwork and pavement. The red flowers are gorgeous and draw the eye immediately into the shot!
