At the edge of what was the Christchurch city centre pre-earthquakes: now largely empty of usable buildings, but with massively solid new constructions going up.

it is indeed a memorial of the City ... I hope in some ways
that they keep this ... perhaps they will pull this arch down ... ?

I too am wondering whether this arch will stand another major quake...Good to see that buildings are going up again, not only being pulled down.

It seems the authorities also have concerns, as access is fenced off from the arch and bridge.
