st.tudy church, cornwall

this carved figure has been set up in the south aisle as pre-conquest, but this is doubtful. I suppose that it could just be norman, but not axe cut. if I had to date it, late c12 would be my guess, but in such a backwater, this could be of almost any date up to the c16.
