post office tower, london

post office tower, london
built in 1964 with a revolving restaurant on top, this'thunderbirds-are-go' style building reminds us of wedgie benn's white heat of the technological revolution, before sense and socialism -and cynicism- came to him with maturity. now known by some other silly name, but for most londoners still the post office tower. the i.r.a.blew chunks out of it once, and bits fall off from time to time, hence the scaffolding and no public access.
