The Smeed Hotel in Eugene, Oregon was built built in 1884 as "The Baker Hotel" and sold 8 years later to Stephen Smeed. It operated as a hotel until the 1970s and is now office and retail space. This painted sign on the alley side of the building is a reminder of its history.
