Getting a breath of fresh air by the sea and walking along the seal beach, a nice place to watch the sun set. You are surrounded by water on the 700 meter long breakwater, constructed to protect the Coast against storms at the back the New Pier of Ostend which takes you into the water, the small beach is on the right where seals arrive, you walk past the lighthouse 'Lange Nelle' which is how the Ostend lighthouse is popularly called ~ has been a household name in Ostend since 1949. Consequently, the three light beams that are supposed to represent the letter O of Ostend in Morse code have been shining through the bedrooms and living rooms of several people living in Ostend for decades. Today, the lighthouse still serves as a beacon for shipping, but its light not only shines over the sea, but also inland, 360 degrees around "The light of the 'Lange Nelle' has been a beacon on our Flemish coast since 1949. Snow field in the Park van Tervuren, Keizerinnedreef tree lined lane traffic free ~ A snowy landscape is not forever, the memory of it is already 43 years ago I cycled home from school in all weathers, the 6 km ride was amazing, every day I rode past the ponds and the museum, it did me good to breathe the pure oxygen it gave me a lot of energy. I like to remember the everyday beautiful things and it makes me very happy to be there again, all those beautiful memories come back as if it were yesterday, it was so nice because time flies, it is as if time has stood still here

Sky blue melting snow on my birthday and today all over Belgium a Snow blanket of 7 cm high to make a snowman and throw snowballs, it made me very happy that day, like a cherry on a cake, a special day that I like to take a picture of, he is tired of the gray weather here in Belgium but this snowman is looking forward to terrace weather... The artist Vic De Vos of Bonheiden carved the three beautiful signposts with the symbols of Mechelen in 1954. For decades the woodcarvings showed visitors the way to the most beautiful buildings and museums and were featured on tourist posters and postcards.They have withstood all weathers and were in bad shape. After renovation, everyone can admire them in all their glory in the streets again, for me it's a nice meeting place... Mechelen railway station is getting a new Look in the next years. The beautiful original station will be renovated in the coming years, this clock on the outside is unfortunately going away...when I was on my way home, I came on foot in all kinds of weather from the center of Mechelen to Mechelen Station, this Belgian station clock is a real eye~catcher, it was the first thing I noticed, because I had to be on time to take the train from Mechelen to Brussels...it's almost 5 to 12:00 The station opened on 5 May 1835.
