King Winter brought lots of snow to Flanders today. A blanket of snow measuring 4 to 10 cm. Great fun for the children, because it was Wednesday afternoon and a free afternoon. This is the Christmas crib on Leuven's Grote Markt with Maria ~ Jozef ~ Baby Jesus ~ Angel Gabriël ~ the Three Wise Men/Kings Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, who followed the star from the East to find the newborn baby Jesus in Bethlehem ~ Shepherd with lamb. Here the 3 Kings on a maternity visit to the baby Jesus. All in beautiful colours of everyday. The children are the first ones at the Christmas crib. They're so excited to see the newborn baby Jesus.Lovely to see, of course. I chose this photo for the beautiful architecture of St Peter's Church and at that moment, the glorious sunlight St~Pieterskerk Grote Markt Leuven Brrrrrrr it was cold, freezing cold this Christmas 2025. On November 11, 1918, at 11:11 a.m., the bloodiest conflict humanity had ever known came to an end. Natures phenomena are wonderful because they don't occur every day, now and then and they give your photos that little bit more, sometimes even worldwide and then I enjoy seeing what others have photographed. Being from the countryside surrounded by forests in Flemish fields where it is quiet and calm, I occasionally visit the busy city with all its contrasts. I encounter all sorts of things that I like, but I also enjoy coming home. I like to show you my daily life in my photo gallery.

Is everyone gone? When it's quiet, the happy chickens come here, sometimes the peacocks, sometimes the chickens. They're curious and come at the same time because they dare to come and attack! Their manure heap is gone, so they come here where there's another one. After a while, they all go back to their chicken coop. After all that commotion, there is still country life here! I like it! IT'S THE BEST THERE IS AND FUNNY!

Streets flooded in Leuven: flooding hits Flemish~Brabant and Brussels ~ 27 July 2025 A severe thunderstorm that has been sweeping across the country since Sunday morning has caused severe flooding in Flemish Brabant, Brussels and Leuven ... for some it was pretty and for many others it was flooding. I was standing on the other side at the time and was able to take this nice photo in the splashing rain. It just didn't stop! Whence all the rain came, who knows. It rained so heavily, it just kept raining... when is summer coming back?
