In honour of International Girl's Day on 11 October, coloured LEGO has presented a life-size statue of Belgium's Olympic hero Nafissatou Thiam at the Entrance hall to Brussels' Gare Centrale Belgium The life-size statue of Nafi Thiam will be visible at Gare Centrale's ticket hall until 17 October, following which it will be moved to the Rue Neuve street until the end of November 2022 In total, the statue of Thiam took 110 hours to build. 19.000 blocks were used and the statue weighs 54 kilograms January 28th International LEGO day Nafissatou (Nafi) Thiam (Brussel, 19 augustus 1994) became Olympic champion in the heptathlon in 2016 and 2021. Getting a breath of fresh air by the sea and walking along the seal beach, a nice place to watch the sun set. You are surrounded by water on the 700 meter long breakwater, constructed to protect the Coast against storms at the back the New Pier of Ostend which takes you into the water, the small beach is on the right where seals arrive, you walk past the lighthouse 'Lange Nelle' which is how the Ostend lighthouse is popularly called ~ has been a household name in Ostend since 1949. Consequently, the three light beams that are supposed to represent the letter O of Ostend in Morse code have been shining through the bedrooms and living rooms of several people living in Ostend for decades. Today, the lighthouse still serves as a beacon for shipping, but its light not only shines over the sea, but also inland, 360 degrees around "The light of the 'Lange Nelle' has been a beacon on our Flemish coast since 1949. After thunder and a rain shower a sky full of beautiful colors with 2 beautiful looking rainbows, I saw them on the way home, here in Belgium we don't often see 2 rainbows appearing simultaneously in the sky, I had to be quick, I couldn't capture them completely in 1 image, I wasn't the only spectator as you can see, it must have been spectacular Hoeve Oude Voorde ~ De boerderij "d'Oudevaerd" Stationsstraat te Vossem Tervuren Belgium

My neighbour Mathilde invited me to come over and to have a chat with her, a pleasant conversation about the past and what it has become now, on March the 30th she became 94 years young time to honour her, she was a close friend of my beloved grandmother Maria, I still miss her very much every day until now with a lot of pain in my heart. I still think of my beloved grandmother every day, she was the crown of the family that kept everyone together, very wise lady who keeps in touch with everyone, she is much loved here
