Möglicherweise, vielleicht reichen die Basaltsäulen auch tiefer ins Erdreich, Udo,
In meiner Heimalt gab es zahlreich Balsaltkegel, diese wurden abgebaut. Daraus wurde als Kopfsteinpflaster, Schotter für Bahndämme oder für Wellenbrecher genutzt.
