Baden, St. Anna Mühle / St. Anna Mill
I like unknown courtyards like the one at St. Anna Mill in Baden. They have something so mysterious and protective at the same time that I appreciate both very much. And unexpected passages always delight me anyway. The part of the building known as Anna Mill is first mentioned in documents in 1312 and 1317 and is part of the former civic hospital, which was used as a residential and nursing home from the 16th century. A civic hospital already existed at this location in Baden in the late Middle Ages, but had to be rebuilt in its present form after being destroyed in 1529 due to a Turkish invasion.
