This is not with a telephoto lens from a raised platform, the PiP shows I had the front corner of car for shelter, but I felt no need of it, as the bear was totally uninterested in my presence, as I was careful to be non-threatening.

Hopefully not a case of too stupid or crazy to be scared, but as I did not feel in danger, and was not afraid, courage was not involved. But then again, like many scuba divers, I am really happy to see sharks on a dive, the closer the better.

I understand, in some way the aim of scuba diving is to see sharks or something of the kind and you go in a park or reserve where you know there are bears or other animals to see them.
