Divine Wines....Speaks for itself!

Divine Wines....Speaks for itself!
Wincanton ~ Divine Wines is on the High Street and also has an excellent cafe. Below is Hooga Coffee which is on the corner of the High Street and Carrington Way, opposite the wine shop.

Like the architecture so much. It's so typical and so different from the view in German towns. And so nice ! Good Morning, Rosa !

Thank you. That is what makes travelling so interesting, seeing other countries architecture. Something I always enjoy. Have a good day Ulrich.

Didn't visit this wine shop but it looks interesting! Maybe it suffers a bit from competition form Yapp Bros. in Mere?
Terrific shots, all!!
Best wishes,
Andy

It doesn't seem to have suffered from that Andy. It has been going for a long time. Seems to be room for them both :-) Thanks for your kind comments.

Good additions to your project Rosa, nice buildings with character too; I remember the days when a drive to the West Country took one through all the towns and villages en-route,not good for the locals, but made for far more interesting travel with opportunities for stopping. Mind you, it was often an 8+ hour drive back then!

Yes, great changes Roger. I remember those times too. It was much more interested but sadly could not take the volume of traffic nowadays.

That's a very nice comment John, thank you. There is not too much to spoil the High Street but it would be nice to see the two quite large empty shops filled again. They were both originally supermarkets, but then supermarkets got bigger and what do you do with the old premises!

Definitely wish we'd made that detour, Rosa. What you see is exactly what you get. I love the colours of the paintwork. I bet it was too cold to sit outside with a cup of coffee though. ;-)

The problem I have is that it's too close to home for me to just pop in for a coffee. I wait until I see a friend and we might do then. I am meeting someone in the new Hooga cafe soon though.

I think it is the English version of the Danish Hygge Andy. I'll leave you to look that one up ;-)

It is a busy corner in the summer...but for now, I would take the furniture inside ;-))
