There was an absence of double yellows John! It surprised me that there were not cars parked all along the road in that case! We parked in the free car park :) Thank you for your kind words and YS....Rosa.

The farmer must have been wealthy to build a house like this, and the one owning it now must have deep pockets too:-)

I wonder if the farm passed down through the family Gudrun. That would be interesting to know.

Lovely shot. Rosa!!
The clue has to be the Free Car Park!
I lived in Pinner, Middlesex for many years and it had (maybe still has) many free car parks. The upshot? Of course; fewer parking problems on the streets and increased trade for all!
My alarm is normally set at 5:30! English classes in companies start before work, so 7 or 7:30 is a common start time for Andy's Business English classes!

Wincanton's car parks are all free Andy, but people don't seem to want to walk anywhere! Still lots of parking outside the shops. I didn't really get up at 5.30am ;-)) You are welcome to that! I used to when we were on the farm but those days are over.
All the best, Rosa.
