Medieval bridge across the Tagus river. Look closely and you can see the scar of a Moorish-style arch along the side of the projecting portion on the right. Hard to tell, but I'm guessing there used to be another wall where the sidewalk is now, intersecting with this tower and breached by a larger and fancier arch than what you see here.
