Thanks! I tried to capture the sounds (or lack of sound) when I was there, but nothing came out well enough. Happily I think the photo shows the calm sound fairly well.

Thanks! No, the cottage didn't have a view (if it had it might have "been to dear" *smile*), but it was only a short walk down to the water and we mostly were travelling about the island while we were there.

Despite the IOW only being a short ferry ride from me, I've only ever visited the island once or twice, so I don't know it at all. Maybe I'll try and put that right this coming summer!

Glad you like it. There are so many interesting sights on the Island - well worth a visit. If I'm together enough you'll see some of them in the next few weeks, though I'm only posting at least semi-art photos from my tavels.

And the song, we were contemplating places to visit when in England. We were considering the Isle of Wight, and then I realized I'd be 64 years old when we were there and so that settled it! We had to do it.

Thank you for your kind words. I do have to say I was excited at the way it turned out. I find sunsets hard to capture in the way that I see them in person. So I was happy when this did a pretty good job.
