Ah, not actually so threatening, unless you melt in the rain! We often get layers of clouds like this that bring nothing but an even soft rain. Glad you like the photo. Thanks for visiting me, Peter. Hope your week is treating you well.

Big sky, interesting bridge, being a mini version of those big bridges one sees nowadays. Looks good though. We,ve had skies like this for the last six months now with the only variation of either heavy rains or snows. Just now and again do we have lighter or even clear skies over here in Manchester UK. Cheers, Herb

ha ha! indeed it does. we are known for it - and that type sky is not unusual around here, though i don't often have as good a vantage point for taking a photo of it.

the white bridge here is bigger than it looks. it is the largest no-car bridge (just light rail, bus, bike and pedestrian) in the United States.
Still not as big as the ones you are thinking of but not really mini. it's the 12th bridge over our river, the Willamette, in the city of Portland. It opened in 2015. Another of our 12 brideges was replaced and re-opened 2016.

we have weather very much like yours here in Portland, Oregon!
