Forgive me, I never know when Thanksgiving is. The extent of my ignorance is that today is my mother's birthday so I am aware of the date for this reason. But for this reason only. I will try and remember 23/11 for all my American friends, in future years! Or, I suppose, 11/23?

as Pam said, there is a reason why you never know when Thanksgiving is - it always changes!! guess you'll just have to look it up on the internet - us american's rely on calendars with printed holidays. but yes, Happy Thanksgiving is the correct term.

It's like Halloween. Completely unknown in my childhood and now it has swept the world and I, for one, wish it hadn't!

Andy.. All Hallows Eve is an ancient ritual... it is a beautiful and reverent hommage to the dead . It isnt spooky.. it is similar to The Day Of The Dead.

It goes back centuries. It is NOT "trick or Treat" and the mess of modern times. .

Maybe .. it you look at the pagan origins of things.. you will learn and see something of worth.. not modern mess.

whatever wikipedia says (i haven't read it), thanksgiving does correspond with the harvest and i tend to think if it in that way, only adding thanks for everything i am grateful for, not just the harvest of food.

really glad you like the photo - and i agree, i think the silver frame does work with this photo (it hasn't been as good with other images, but not bad)

ah, the treatment is all in the film choice. this is straight from the polaroid camera - it was a wonderful light. thanks!
