Otis in his crate

Because of his leg injury the vet didn't want Otis jumping around until it healed and recommended crating him. He came to like his crate and voluntarily went into it at night until I bought him a bed and let him stay in the bedroom at night. He is so well behaved, I don't even crate him anymore when I leave for a few hours. So now he thinks he too good to be crated and rarely is.

We live in an area with cherty soil. Otis split open his pad on a sharp piece of chert. It kept splitting open and wouldn't heal, so off to the vet for a fix
