This one offers a lot to like, and I especially like the mix of colours.

As usual, a lot of the colour mix is down to the Photoshop Elements grouping in their 'color gradients'. The vertical ones were chosen first and were in fact completely different as they were on a white background. I then 'inverted' the whole image's colours. The swirl was a copy of the coloured elements distorted and recoloured. I just move the 'change hue' slider until I like the resulting range of colours.

It seems lowered into the dark, like some glowing nuclear rods to control the colour fission.

I am not entirely sure that I could reproduce the glowing effect again. I just play about until something appeals. Rarely do I make notes of the process. On the subject of lowering, I wonder if that effect would have been heightened if I had shaded the background from a bit lighter at the top down to dark at the bottom.
